Cousins Subs® Announces Return of Cubano Sub

MILWAUKEE (May 12, 2026) – Cousins Subs® is bringing back a fan favorite. The original Cubano recipe has officially returned for a limited time, giving guests another chance to enjoy the bold sandwich they’ve been asking for.

The Cubano starts with tender pulled pork and layers in savory ham, Genoa salami and melted Swiss, all grilled together for a hot, craveable bite. It’s finished with pickles, onions, tomatoes, brown mustard and mayo on Cousins Subs’ signature Italian bread.

“The Cubano is one of those sandwiches guests don’t forget,” said Christine Specht, CEO of Cousins Subs. “We heard the requests, and we’re happy to bring back the original recipe they know and love.”

Guests can enjoy the Cubano sub in traditional 7 ½- or 15-inch sizes, or as a Sub in a Bowl.
