Be Herd! Search for State's Best Moo-ers Coming to Green Bay and Appleton

Green Bay and Fox Valley moo-ers, this is your chance to be herd.

The 2010 Cousins Subs Moo Tour will visit the Brown County Breakfast on the Farm on Sunday, June 6, and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers' "Salute to Cows" on Thursday, June 10, in search of the loudest, proudest and most creative moo-ers to compete in August at Moo-la-palooza, the world famous mooing contest at the Wisconsin State Fair.

Moo Master Sean Cundy and the Cousins Subs Moo Team will audition local moo-ers from 8 a.m. to noon on June 6 at Breakfast on the Farm, to be held at Brickstead Dairy LLC, 1734 Wayside Road in Greenleaf. On June 10, Cundy and crew will be at the Timber Rattlers' stadium from 4 to 7 p.m. There is no cost to moo and all entrants will receive either Cousins gift cards, State Fair tickets or other fun prizes. Cousins Subs will donate $1 per moo from both stops to local 4-H clubs.

The best moo-ers - the crème de la crème - will be awarded golden cowbells and invitations to Moo-la-palooza, to be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Cousins Subs Amphitheater at the Wisconsin State Fair. The Moo-la-palooza grand champion receives $1,000, the coveted cow print coat, an entire year of free Cousins Subs - and bragging rights to the title of best moo-er (of the human variety!) in the Dairy State.

"We discovered some moo-rvelous mooing talent in the Green Bay/Appleton area last summer, and we're excited to bring the Cousins Subs Moo Tour back to town," said Cundy, an Appleton native. "This contest gives people across our great state a chance to show their pride in our state's dairy heritage and celebrate our beloved bovine brethren. The best part of all is that the Moo Tour and Moola- palooza benefit 4-H clubs around Wisconsin. 4-H does so much for the youth in our state, and Cousins Subs wanted to give something back."

The 2010 Cousins Subs Moo Tour kicked off June 5 at "Cows on the Concourse" in Madison. Other Tour stops include the Jefferson County Fair on July 9, the Fond du Lac County Fair on July 22, the Washington County Fair on July 24 and the Racine County Fair on July 30.
