Cousins Subs® Seeks Local Nonprofits for Donation Days at South Milwaukee, Franklin, Oak Creek and Greenfield Stores

Cousins Subs® today announced that it is looking to partner with area nonprofits for donation days at four stores in South Milwaukee, Franklin, Oak Creek and Greenfield.  Thomas Jones, who owns the participating stores with his sister, Cheryl, said they've set a goal of hosting one donation night a month at each of the stores through 2010.

So far, the Joneses' stores have raised more than $3,300 for groups including Lakeview Elementary School in South Milwaukee, the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center,  Franklin High School's Saber Robotics team, Indian Community School in Franklin,  Greendale High School's Post-Prom event and more.

"Cousins Subs works hard to be involved in its communities, and we've found donation  days are a great way to have fun, enjoy a delicious meal and help a worthy local  organization in the process," Jones said. "Our stores have been honored to work with so  many good groups in the area. We want to keep these positive relationships going, as well as find new nonprofits that could benefit from our help and support."

During a donation day, Cousins Subs contributes 10 percent of sales to a designated  nonprofit organization. In some cases, guests also have the opportunity to make  additional donations directly to the group. This year's events have raised anywhere from  $150 to more than $600 for their nonprofit beneficiaries, Jones said.

"It takes a lot of effort to coordinate a donation day from start to finish, but we think it's a great way to support our communities and set Cousins Subs apart," he said. "This year, we've made a real effort to reach out to schools, PTOs, churches and others to see where we can help. We know there's a lot of need out there."

Chicago Ave.;  Cousins Subs of Franklin, 7178 S. 76th St. (76th and Rawson) in the Orchard View Shopping Center; Cousins Subs of Oak Creek, 2327 W. Ryan Road; and Cousins Subs of Greenfield, 6201 S. 27th St. in the Greenfield Emporium Shopping Center.
