Wisconsin State Fair And Cousins Subs Announce New Partnership
West Allis, WI – Wisconsin State Fair and Cousins Subs announced today that they have signed an extensive three (3) year agreement establishing Cousins Subs as the “Title Sponsor” to the Amphitheater and Bazaar, the primary ground stage during the Wisconsin State Fair, located in the heart of the Park. Founded on common goals, this long-term partnership creates a strong year-round affiliation with the Wisconsin State Fair Park and unites two great Wisconsin entities.
In addition to serving as “Title Sponsor” of the Amphitheater and Bazaar, Cousins Subs will:
- Operate a new 80’ x 24’ restaurant with seating within the Cousins Subs Amphitheater and Bazaar
- Maintain major food category exclusivity within the Cousins Subs Amphitheater and Bazaar
- Will host the fourth annual Cousins Subs World Famous Moo-la-palooza Mooing Contest on Saturday, August 11, at 2 p.m. on the Cousins Subs Amphitheater. Registration will begin at 1 p.m.
- Two permanent back-lit marquee signs will be erected at the entrances on Central Avenue and on Grandstand Avenue
- Stage signage and internal venue signage
Wisconsin State Fair is very proud of this partnership. This is a great way for Cousins Subs to increase their visibility and brand awareness to establish loyalty among our mutual customers,” stated Randy Prasse, executive director of Wisconsin State Fair Park.
“Cousins Subs has been providing Wisconsin and many others great food and memorable experiences for 35 years – two things you might say the State Fair has also been known to do,” added John Pryor, president and chief operating officer of Cousins Subs. “So, on our 35th anniversary, it only makes sense that we both amp up our partnership and keep striving to give the Wisconsin people and beyond more and better experiences by taking on the overall sponsorship of the iconic Amphitheatre and Bazaar.”
Cousins Subs Vice-President of Operations Bob Otto commented, “the Fair is one of Wisconsin’s longest standing traditions, and we are excited to take part in it. We look forward to bringing Fairgoers some great entertainment.” Fittingly, as part of the new partnership, the Amphitheatre and Bazaar will be the official home of Moo-la-palooza - the famous yearly search for the world’s best “moo.” This contest has become a crowd favorite and highlights of it air on televisions across the country.
The Cousins Subs Amphitheater will showcase free national and regional entertainment from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily during the Wisconsin State Fair. The stage attracts Fairgoers of all ages and is home to the Kids from Wisconsin, who perform daily on the Amphitheater. The Cousins Subs Bazaar is home to over 30 diverse vendors during the 11 days of the Wisconsin State Fair. In addition, the area also hosts numerous year round events such as the Harvest Fair, culturally diverse music events and racing events.

About Cousins Subs
Cousins Subs is based in Milwaukee, Wis., and is a national sub sandwich chain with stores throughout the Midwest and on the West Coast. The tradition of Cousins Subs started in 1972, when two transplanted cousins from Atlantic City saw the need for an East coast–style sub shop in their new hometown. They patterned their subs after the hoagie, grinder, hero and sub sandwiches they enjoyed back East. And with a dedication to delivering quality subs at fair prices, they opened their first restaurant. From the start, the two used bread baked fresh every morning and insisted on using only the finest, freshest ingredients.
