Cousins Subs Continues Growth in Dane County with New Stores
Madison, WI –Cousins Subs Systems Inc. recently announced the opening of three new stores in Dane County. The stores are located at 3306A University Ave. and 106 S. Webster St. in Madison and at 6162 U.S. Hwy 51 in Deforest.
"We are very excited to be opening three new stores in the area," said Cousins Subs Manager of Franchise Sales and Recruitment Kerry Espich. "This growth really displays the increasing strength of the Cousins Subs brand in Dane County. Each store will be an integral part of the Cousins Subs team, and we look forward to their success."
Cousins Subs opened the three stores in the past ten months. In March 2006, the Cousins Subs located on University Ave in Madison owned by Carrol Daubenspeck opened. The store in Deforest, owned by Don Morello, opened in October. Shortly after in November, the Cousins Subs opened on south Webster Street and is owned by Katherine McGrath.
"I have developed over twenty stores in this area including the Deforest location, and I don't plan to stop any time soon." said Morello, successful Cousins Subs area developer and store owner of nearly 15 years. "Cousins Subs offers many ways to get into store ownership and development from entry-level ownership to the most experienced franchisee. I plan to bring at least three more stores in the city of Madison and have my sights set on future development in Oregon and Monroe to continue the Cousins Subs tradition."

About Cousins Subs
Based in Milwaukee, Wis., Cousins Subs Systems Inc. is a national sub sandwich chain with 158 stores in 12 states throughout the Midwest and on the West Coast. Cousins Subs began in 1972 when two transplanted cousins from Atlantic City, William "Bill" Specht and James "Jim" Sheppard, saw the need for an East Coast-style sub shop in their new hometown. Patterning their subs after the hoagie, grinder, hero and sub sandwiches they enjoyed back East, the founders dedicated themselves to delivering quality subs at fair prices. Today, Cousins Subs restaurants around the country carry on the tradition begun in Milwaukee more than 30 years ago, serving delicious Italian bread, fresh-baked every day and topped with only the freshest produce, meats and cheeses.
