Cousins Subs Offers Procrastinating Taxpayers Instant Refund

Milwaukee, WI – If you still haven’t gotten your taxes in, the dreaded day has arrived – Tax Day. But Cousins Subs is showing Milwaukee that contrary to popular belief, procrastination can pay off! For the third year in a row, Cousins Subs will be onsite at the downtown post office to make sure taxpayers get more than the lick of a stamp for dinner. Look for Uncle Sam and the Cousins Subs mascot – Subby, between 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. among the crowd at 345 W. St. Paul Avenue. These two characters will be patrolling the sidewalk and streets to deliver hearty sub sandwiches to the people.

"There is nothing fun about taxes, but people can’t help but smile when they see Uncle Sam and Subby waving at them." said Larry Weissman, vice president of marketing for Cousins. "And at least no one will go hungry waiting in those long lines."

Cousins Subs is also sponsoring an "Instant Tax Refund" booth that will be located on the sidewalk outside. After turning hard earned money over to the government, people can hop inside the booth and try their hand at getting back some of that cash. Cousins Subs coupons and prize certificates will also be up for grabs.

About Cousins Subs

Cousins Subs is based in Milwaukee, Wis., and is a national sub sandwich chain with stores throughout the Midwest and on the West Coast. The tradition of Cousins Subs started in 1972, when two transplanted cousins from Atlantic City saw the need for an East coast–style sub shop in their new hometown. They patterned their subs after the hoagie, grinder, hero and sub sandwiches they enjoyed back East. And with a dedication to delivering quality subs at fair prices, they opened their first restaurant. From the start, the two used bread baked fresh every morning and insisted on using only the finest, freshest ingredients.
