Cousins Subs Names Dan Patrick As Spokesperson
Menomonee Falls, WI - The Milwaukee, Wisc.-based chain, Cousins Subs, known for their larger-than-average subs (7½ inch half and 15 inch whole) has hired celebrity ESPN sportscaster, Dan Patrick, as their new spokesperson for their 2005-2006 advertising campaign.
The ad campaign officially launched in October and Patrick is featured in all of their television, print, radio and billboard advertisements.
He will also be featured in franchise recruitment materials and point-of purchase displays. "We are very excited to have Dan Patrick as our spokesperson. He embodies the everyday guy and is never hesitant when he is asked to share his opinions. We know our guests will easily relate to him," said Larry Weissman, vice president of marketing.
The first Cousins Subs opened in Milwaukee in 1972. Since then it has grown into a 170-restaurant chain in 10 states. The hiring of Patrick as spokesperson coincides perfectly with the company's growth plans. Cousins Subs is planning to open 250 locations in the next five years throughout the Midwest and the Southwest. The company is mainly targeting cities within a 400 mile radius of the Milwaukee area, including Chicago, Cedar Rapids, Detroit, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Northern Wisconsin and North Dakota. In addition, Cousins Subs is looking to build on the success of its current restaurants in the Phoenix and Tucson area.
