7 Lucky State Fairgoers Win Free Cousins Subs For a Year

Enjoying Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick Pays Off

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (August 31, 2010) –  Cousins Subs® today announced that seven lucky Wisconsin State Fairgoers will receive a year's supply of Cousins Subs thanks to their love of deep-fried fair food. The seven found sticks marked "WINNER!" in their Cousins Subs Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick sold at the Wisconsin State Fair during its 11-day run.

"Every day, we put a winning stick inside our delicious fair snack, and these seven were the lucky recipients of the prize," said Larry Weissman, vice president of marketing for Cousins Subs. "We're glad that people enjoyed our deep-fried deliciousness, and we look forward to seeing these seven enjoy their prize in the year to come.”

The seven Lucky Stick winners are:

·  Ternay Beck of Menomonee Falls

·  Nicole House of South Milwaukee

·  Rebacca Kansaku of South Milwaukee

·  Danielle Recore of Brookfield

·  Joseph Rickaby of Hartland

·  Katrina Salli of Milwaukee

·  Lisa Stika of Greenfield

This was the first year Cousins Subs offered the Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick, which featured a tasty bread dough stuffed with steak, sautéed onions and cheese, then deep-fried and served piping hot with a tangy, special-recipe dipping sauce. The food was so popular at this year’s fair that it won a recent online contest.

"Usually, people throw away the sticks when they're finished with their treat, but when you offer an incentive like free subs for a year, people pay a little more attention!" said Weissman. "The Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick was a must-try this year at the Wisconsin State Fair, and we're looking forward to seeing what kind of concoction we can create for next year!"

About Cousins Subs

Cousins Subs, based in Menomonee Falls in suburban Milwaukee, is a restaurant specializing in East Coast-style submarine sandwiches made with the finest ingredients served on a variety of freshly baked breads, along with salads, soups, chips and soft drinks.  The tradition of Cousins Subs started in 1972, when two transplanted cousins from Atlantic City saw the need for an East Coast-style sub shop in their new hometown.  They patterned their subs after the hoagie, grinder, hero and sub sandwiches they enjoyed back East.  And with a dedication to delivering quality subs at fair prices, they opened their first restaurant.  From the start, the two used bread baked fresh every morning and insisted on using only the finest, freshest ingredients.  For more information, visit www.cousinssubs.com.  You can also find Cousins Subs on Facebook and Twitter.
