RIPON COUSINS SUBS® RESTAURANT RECEIVES AWARD FOR EXCEPTIONAL GUEST SERVICE

- Local franchisees, David and Laurie Johnson, receive award second year in a row –

RIPON, Wisconsin (May 14, 2013) – David and Laurie Johnson, local owners of the Ripon Cousins Subs® restaurant, were recognized by Cousins Subs for providing exceptional guest service.  This is the second consecutive year that they have won this award since opening in 2010.

The Johnson's received the award at Cousin Subs’ Annual Meeting at the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells on April 29th.  Approximately 200 franchisees, corporate employees, vendors and guests were in attendance.  

“Many store operators model and deliver exceptional service most of the time,” said John Krahn, manager of training for Cousins Subs.  “The difference between the Johnson's and all other store operators who deliver great service is that David and Laurie are so incredibly consistent.  Guests are always warmly welcomed to the store, informed of menu options, and delivered their food with a smile.”

The Guest Service Award was presented to a franchisee that has excelled in store appearance, guest service, and food quality that keeps their guests coming back.

“The secret that I tell all my employees and use myself is to ‘make sure the guests hear the smile in your voice,’” remarked David Johnson.  “It may seem simple, but after being in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I recognize that a smile, product knowledge and quality, and a clean store can make or break a customer’s experience.”

The average score of 12 shopper evaluations in 2012 to Johnson’s store was a company record-breaking 99.5%.  A perfect score of 100% was achieved in 10 of the 12 evaluations.

“David is at his store almost every day of the year,” Krahn continued.  “He bakes our signature bread early in the morning and serves guests all day.  As a company that is always striving to ‘Make It A Better Day’ we couldn’t be happier with the Johnsons’ dedication to outstanding guest service.”
